We get a lot of calls from people who want to know a quick, easy way to get their home evaluated. Unfortunately, there is no "easy button" when it comes to getting an accurate estimate on the value of your home. For instance, many people like to go to Zillow, Trulia, or Realtor.com to determine their home value but these sites are often quite inaccurate. They analyze data and give ranges - sometimes they're close and sometimes they aren't. The truth is no computer can really determine the value of your home. A Realtor can do many things a computer cannot. He or she can look at your home and determine what is unique about its features. For luxury homes in particular, it's difficult for web sites to take upgrades into account. You may have spent large sums of money to add additional value to your home, but the home listing sites don't include the improvements you made in their algorithm.

Online sites are great resources to get a general understanding of the market. However, it is best not to rely on them solely for determining the value of your home. Even when you do have a professional assess your home, there is one factor that needs to be accounted for: what people will actually pay for it. The only way to know that is to put it on the market. With our expertise in the field, you can rest assured that your home will be sold for the highest possible value given market conditions. If you have any questions on this topic, please feel free to give us a call or shoot us an email. We would love to hear from you!
