Listen to Andrew Duncan, #1 RE/MAX Agents in Florida talk to Robert Johnson, The Duncan Duo's Listing Director and Mike Yates of Atlantic Bay Mortgage , about how you can prepare your home to sell during the holidays.

This is the time of the year when some sellers are reluctant to put their homes on the market. It is easy to go overboard with holiday decorations but you want to make your home most marketable to people when they walk through the door. You want people to feel like they could see themselves living there. Andrew recommends to decorate lightly so as not to offend anyone with different beliefs when showing the home to buyers. Robert points out that for higher end homes that typically sit on the market longer, it is better to think of the long term.  Mike adds that a lot of people can't see past all that decoration. Keep it simple, keep it light to make it more appealing to buyers.
